I thought that was you on the water Yardi, we pretty much struggled the same as you - so you weren`t alone - it was a little quiet, I think Steve also didnt get to many. Hopefully they were just off the chew while we were there and came back hard next weekend.

cheers

Thumbs down Can anyone say

Can anyone say - "Guy with nets has 'cleaned up!'.
Suck the fresh, pour in the salt and net the beggeebers outta it!
Thats the guaranteed way to a trophy fishery for sure!
Thanks be too goodness we have all a these 'experts' from the Govt and Fisheries Dept and the University 'managing the river' for us!
Heck I think I still have the letter from the former Fisheries Minister Kim Chance, telling me the netting of bream is eclogically sustainable!
And this from the same govt thats pumping the fresh and pouring in the salt and encouraging the netting!

Quote:
Trust me - I'm from the Government and I'm here to help you!
= Run Forest - Run!

Whatta ya expect!

I'd be the very last bloke to say "Told ya so!".

Cheers!

Nope

Just putting the ink to the dotted line Bear!

Selling the remaining Blackwood river frontage land today Bear, before the once mighty Blackwood river inevitably becomes an industrial waste sewer under this govts stewardship!

Hard thing to do after 20 years, but I can't bear to watch em kill something I've loved so much!

Its different when it's not your own back yard!

When it is - it hurts personal like Bear!

Cheers!

Thats no good Trouty, typical of the Govt to continue stocking a river for a pro to rape, and then to suck the goodness out of it. I reckon the Govt has something against you mob.

cheers

Fished the Blackwood proably 4 time's in the last month and a half Yardie and ld have to say that last weekend when you were down sure was it's least productive. The fish have been sitting on the snag's up until then and it made fishing hard's a tough option.

l still caught on hard's but was a long 2 day's fishing.Soft's fished deep also did the trick.l now know it's a river that can be hard to find some consistant result's on.

All l can offer is fish slow as possible and methodically around structure and dont be in a rush to move on to the next snag or such. as l found pissing fish of enough will entice them to strike out of anger more than hunger. This was all to evident up until last weekend. The river is full of baitfish and l found that they would follow hardbody's long distances from the bank before a strike, so hence fish right to the boat.Shady area's also held more fish on sunlite day's.Getting casts into these patch's is a must,(Steve in tree's again) frustrating at time's but a must all the same.

l will just be trying to cover area's from top to bottom come comp time. This is just my result's of recent hope it help's a little.

Steve

Dawsey, It was pretty stirred up yesterday; didn't venture past the Yanks. We didn't go out today- windy and rainy.

Know of some cracker whiting that were lure caught on the weekend, but the bream were a bit thin in quantity. A flounder was also pulled out of a snag was the most unusual capture that day.
