fishing in yacht clubs

What is the deal with fishing in yacht clubs on the Swan river? Is there a danger of being prosercuted and what are the rights of the public when it comes to forshore access?

as far as im aware of the inside of the yacht clubs are private property. i am a member of PFSYC and i have had the water police pull in to the jetties to ask if i was or not.

i have also heard that other YC get pretty narky about boats fishing in the chanels as they reckon that fishermen leave all their snagged up rigs on the roaps and stuff.

however there is nothing stopping you being on public land casting into the yc's

HTH

Cheers

Chris Lemessuir knows a bit about the subject so you might want to ask him!
I'm pretty sure you can cast from outside, into there property, but do be careful, as if you were in there place, you'd prolly get pissed off if fisherman kept tangling lines in your ropes and equipment.
I think Claremont YC is pretty good to fisherman, as is SOPYC.
