Looking to import?

for those guys that are interested in importing a high performance bass rig... instead of looking east, why dont you look west... some of these rigs are MINDBLOWING!!

If your importing the states is the only place to buy, free trade agreement and 10's of thousands of bass style boats available. That top boat is still over $50 grand Aus, before you even look at importing it.

If your thinking of going down that path, I would never in a millions years import a boat that you can't use in the ocean. Those things have no free board at all (even less than mine) and are NOT designed for Western Australia. A flats/bay boat is a far better option. For example I went bottom bashing today and ended up with a 6kg Jewie and copped a little spray given the strength of the Easterly. Imagine doing that in a bass boat, better take a snorkel with ya

For $45k you can have a boat like this at your door, I have a special agreement with this company.

I'm with you Madaff. While I love my bream fishing and was impressed with the Nitro, I still think it's worth looking at the bay style boats for here in WA.

Here's a few worth looking at.

This one is brought in by Estuary Marine:
http://www.seaswirl.com/Boats/Boats_Detail.asp?bid=463

Ranger's version:
http://www.rangerboats.com/pages/boats/2000.cfm

Mako
http://www.mako-boats.com/boat/index.cfm?boat=1927

There's a start.

The Ranger is another option for sure and I believe that there is already one of the Tracker models here already. The Tracker is an ali I think.

Man, those are some hot looking bay boats. It's beyond me why there aren't as many similar models available over here.

I like the Ranger Bansee Extreme flats skiff. NICE!!! Also the Mako 1801.

Seafox and Kenner would be my pick Bear. My next boat hopefully next was going to be the 2103 Kenner with the 225 Opti. But I will wait and see.

These are the flagships of flats style boats, True flats boats are exactly that. The cross over boats flats/bay are the ones to go for.

Bay Boats

G'day Lads,

Bay boats are the way the go!!!!! Tons of room to fight fish, adequate storage, and the center console makes it a joy to run in rough water standing up. My Ranger 175C is a great Bay boat and I can do much more with it them my old Ranger bass boat. With the 150 Evinrude I can still run at 50mph. I still have 2 casting decks and with the 82lbs motorguide it would be a great Bream boat. I am trying to convince the wife to let me up grade to the next Ranger Bay 2000 with a 150 Etec and a Motorguide 101 leccy. I have attached pictures.......1st my new dream boat and then my current 175C........Let me know what you think?
