the best threads

just for something new on the site.
this is just a suggestion.
since we have heaps of intersting threads in our forums maybe the moderators can choose a thread of the month then a thread of the year. after the 12 months there will be 12 nominations for a possible thread of the year which the moderators will elect or put all 12 threads on a poll and let people vote for the one they think is best.

the winner (thread starter) will recieve a prize. eg rod, reel, lures or money.

Sweet idea but don;t u think it'll make some people post up way to much old stuff trying to win? u'd end up turning people on each other? I dunno if it worked it would be an awsome idea! Good thinking batman!!

wat about people who don't have digi cams they won't be able to post up ics of fish wat do u think is more exciting talkin bout catchin a huge fish and not havin proof but seeing it . whos gonna pay for these prizes if it were me i would buy a kmart simpsons rod and reel combo i mean comon for writin a good thread u get a $100 rod or reel how are the people at the breammasetr store going to benfit from this just get more threads through i mean we have got great threads comin through at the moment this is jmo.
not having a go at ya or anything just raisin a few points.

i just woke up when i started the thread so it wasn't all thought out. although sometimes really good threads dont have to have photos. ive seen many that are really interesting.
also, i dont think people would turn on each other simply because its a light hearted comp

Its a good idea providing people dont abuse it and just put up useless threads but it might also improve the qaulity of the threads...

thats my original thought but i wonder what the moderators think about it

I just hope it stops people using this sms language and not re reading their posts, some take forever to read. I reakon it could work though, Even with just a small novalty prize.
