Scents

Hi all,

Got 2 questions, which I'd really love to have clarified before a hit the road tomorrow.

1) I've got a bottle of bllod red Squidgy scent spray. Is it something that is safe to use (even with Berkley plastics) - e.g. will it be neutral at least or help, or it will ruin the lure and the day? E.g. should I use it "just in case"?

2) I've discovered a crack in my tackle box (where I keep my jigheads)... and fixed it with the super glue. Now I'm scratching my head... is it still OK to keep my jigheads there... or the scen (although I couldn't smell it anymore) will transfer itself to the jig's and this will scare the fish away?

Thanks

Scents are good to use on ya placcies but I tend not to use em on berkley placcies coz I reckon berkleys dont need anything extra, their scent is already the best. I do use a catch scent on my other placcies about half the time....mainly because I'm a smoker so my hands stink at a bit of spray on the placce takes care of the ciggi stink.
Scents so give ya an edge but theyre not 100% neccesarry....cant hut but
As for the superglue smell, If you are worried about it just squirt some scent on em before you use em.

Super glue is OK. I use it to glue the tail to the jighead on larger plastics for flathead and jews. Stops the tail sliding down the hook shaft, and it does'nt seem to bother the fish at all.

As craig has already said super glue wont be a problem as most of us use it and never had a bad effect on any of the fish.
Id use ultabite spray myself for all my plastics.

I like the scents that come in a tube best - they seem to hang on lures for a lot longer. Hard to prove that they increase catches of Bream but I feel sure that scents work - certainly they get Blowies fired up!!

Tim 'The Bream' put me onto Mega-Strike and I've been using it ever since. It comes in a tubes and stays well on a plastic or HB.

Worth a go.
