ur deciding between a sustain and a twin power well my experience working in a tackle store for the past 2 years tells me i wood go sustain i fish the bigger 8000 size for mackies gt and quennies but dont get me wrong twin powers are awsome. and as i say i see people everyday saying that sustains are better and that twin powers are better soooo to be honest very hard choice

i hope that helped

Twin Power AND Sustain are the same reel!

The Twin Power is the Japan Domestic version while the Sustain is of 'export quality' made for the US and Australasia market. Read not as good, if u know how the Jap-market works and how the domestic-proud society only wants the best for itself...

So if it isn't too late, then yah, Twin Power's your choice mate!

I've got one of teh larger Twinpowers (8000) which is simply awesome - and capable of 15Kg of drag !!

- dunno how the drags compare on teh smaller reels

- One thing to consider which is a bit of a bummer; is that the Twinpower doesn't come with a spare spool (I don't think)

- But a sweet reel all the same !

Thats the size im getting, its to go on my 8ft ugly stick, gonna use it up north for the big pelagics. 15kg drag sounds good, those GT's can bloody pull!!

The Twinpower is an SR concept reel so yea better than the Sustain..........but even that is up for debate.

Personally I prefer the Twinpower, the SR concept makes for a sweet reel......also the 2 speed ossilation on the Twinpower is an awesome feature IMO.
