Richo,

I'm curious to know, ,what are you using them for? I know rattlers are great lures in the right situations, and I love them too. However, just from what I've read, I don't really know what kind of benefits there are to getting one of the newer, sadistically expensive ones, like the Jackall. Just from what I've read, they say they're good because you can work them really slowly and they sink slowly too. However, a Super Spot sinks slow and works slowly too, and it ain't as pretty, but it's a third of the price and pretty lethal in its own right. Just not sure if all the newer, groovier ones are just prettier or if they actually catch more fish.

Im a tackle junky, and have been catching most of my fish on vibes of late, and get sick of weighting them down when the waters cranking so Ive grabbing any I can find, Ive nailed a few sugoi and owner ones so why not top it off with a jackal..... No idea what Id use them for - I know lil sambos love them.

Daiwa Jackal

Richo

The Daiwa pro lures ( Jackal replicas) are designed and made for them by the Jackal Bros. Ash (my sponsor) still had some of these in his shop last time I was there.

I also know that Miami Vice also has a supply from somewhere?

$27 - That's gotta hurt when you snag one up. I'd be using lure saving clips with them

Another one worth checking out is the VT 55 and 65 from Eco-Gear these things rock on the Bream. Redfin, trout, Yellas and so on.

Well if it wasnt in the gob of a fish then I would have gone swimming .
As for Troy I agree go for the VT 55's as well. I have been trying these lately on Bream and they have been slaying to lot of them..

Mmmmmmmmmmm Jackals

We had a pretty damn fine time on them at the Golden Classic over here recently - very funky indeed

Just curious Richo, I've never seen the Sugoi version - where do I get it and do you have any pics??

What's the rattle like compared to the Jackals??

A quick word on the Luresaver rings......... they got a new nickname the other weekend, we now call them Fishsavers as on two occasions the fish swam away with trebles in them with NOWHERE near the rated pressure applied. These were brand new (I know they eventually wear out) and I won't use them again.

Dave - The rattle in the Sugoi dosnt come close in comparing to the Jackal rattle - its hard to explain but the rattle in a jackall is second to none IMO,

The sugois are made by Yamatoyo maybe? (I think) BM had them and sold out ages ago, not sure if they have surfaced anywhere else.

I`ll stick to the Jackalls and the Daiwa ones as it seems the expensive ones have a habit of working better, personally I dont put luresaver rings on anything as you said I reckon fish would pull the hooks off the lure more often than not.

cheers
