Had some success Wrighty on lures like the SkyWalker and even Buzz Baits. On the flats I've also done OK on top walkers like the Zippin Ziggy. Probably not something I would do in a comp, but a lot of fun.

Last summer I went to the Gold Coast and had a fish with Steve Morgan. He showed me the surface lures technique. I tried it over here with some quite good results. His favorite pink Ecogears worked but I experimented with a few different sorts of plastics and found the watermelon and motor oil colours better

my favourite surface lures are the river 2 sea buggy pops, taylor made basscada and the taylor made suface fizzers. i have a lot of sucess over here early morning and late afternoon up the mangrove lined creeks in the manning river and the canals at tuncurry in wallis lake. up in the canals the residents seem to feed a lot of bread to the bream around their wharves so the are usually a heap there one day i got 15 in a hour an a half throwing my lure right under the wharves!!

Dude you have to find a better way of advertising other than using someone elses online store.

aust angler may just be like myself and a real lure nut
as for me i like the small surface lures for bream and one the really works very well for me are the rebel firebug
they are a sub surface diver then when use slowly works as a surface lure give it a couple of good twitches or a crank on the reel and it will dive a few inches below the surface
i like this one as when the bream are a bit shy and you see them under the lure you can twich or crank it down a bit and let it float again and most time they will hit it then

I have had a lot of success the last few years using rebel teeny pop r s for bream and bass,Its a great lure that has a very good popping action compared to some of the Cheaper imitations.

I have recently started using these Towadi lures on the Gold Coast and I have to say the clear one has proven to be the best surface lure I have ever used for Bream (hooks are a bit how ya going) but the lure rocks. I had 17 surface strikes in 37 minutes in 1 small canal, I have never seen anything like it. They are made by Smith and are really one to look out for.

Im from perth and just watched Starlo & Bushys Squidgee secrets dvd. The squidgee bugs look like a good surface lure, making a nice little ripple. Has anyone used these in Perth and had any luck??

Gudgeon,

I sent you a PM mate...last time I answered a question like that, I had it pointed out to me in no uncertain terms that I should not
