Oil rig spill model

I havent done any research but heres something I saw on facebook

"Something we as Aussies should be aware of , Norwegian oil company EQUINOR plan to drill for oil in The Great Australian Bight . This is a map of the companies own spill model if things go pear shaped , the devastation will be enormous and half our coastline will be screwed. Their plan is before industry regulator NOPSEMA and for the next 30 days you can have your say"

And heres the top ten oil spills in history - some from tankers some from oil rigs.

Weirdly enough, the biggest oil spill was deliberate. It released by the Iraq Army, to foil a potential landing by US Marines

Heres the inside story from one of the workers who was instructed to run his drills faster than normal.

BP money men overriding Safety concerns when machinery began to malfunction and break apart.

It also mentions oil rigs currently pumping away with welding plans that werent approved by BP engineers.
