Check out this idea's man turning salt water into light.

He doesnt claim to have discovered the phenomena - but he's having a crack at refining the process

Heres an hour long chat with Mark Dansie about the process

Its been a hit and miss week in the garden - some things didnt go quite to plan - (but the seller immediately agreed to send me a new one or a full refund) Thats quite refreshing in the ebay game

Then I promised a mate I'd sort out his lighting problem before realising I dont even have a basic understnding of how a soldering iron works - (i thought it was only the tip that gets hot)

..... reckons she saw some dinky wooden dragon-fly's at her local nursery for $100 a go - After I saw the photos - I says - I reckon I might be able to do something similar for no cash - (i"m being modest - mine are heaps better than the bull-DohDohDohDoh they were selling)

Although they call me the "Human CNC machine" when I've got a jigsaw in my hands - I'm not going to say I got all the bugs ironed out on the first pass - But I've arrived at a point where I can take my first confident step

I'm interested to see how this dragonfly finishes up Larry. It looks like a lot of work, I hope that chick is worth the effort.

As usual - I've got no chance - its lucky I like wood work

Yeah the dragon fly was going to be a much simpler design but the more I looked at it - the more options for innovating I spotted

That came out really well...!

You've got a sweet "Wall of Fame" going on with that fence.

Ta Greggo - All pieces are governed by Junk pile wood availability.

Just found these highly sought after "Mitsubishi" pallets on Friday - so I shouldnt run out any time soon

If your Dragonfly didn't do it for that Chick from Work, make her something where you can spend some quality time together.

Very nice -

I've got to build a ramp for an old geezers steps, so he can bring his lawn mower under cover - might have to pair down the design to make sure I have enough pallet wood left over

I was originally thinking of a fold down arrangement but thats going to chew up a bit of wood - I might just give him 2 fence palings and tell him to work it out

I was mucking around with some small scale chair prototypes a while back but I got distracted and moved on to the next thing

If you could find an old solid timber door that might make a decent ramp

Yeah good call - I'll keep an eye out - spring cleaning season is coming up so all sorts of junk will soon be available

And with the amount of effort involved in taking these pallets apart - it would be a shame to turn it into a ramp
