Gopro support service

Hey guys, just wanted to share a win with you all and give credit and praise to gopro.
I've only had my unit 5 weeks and through stupidity I was forcing the latch shut without the door being shut/sealed by hand first and/or the seal being properly in place. This crack didn't happen at once it must have grown slowly and I didn't notice it untill it had grown to this unusable size!!

Anyway after realising they don't sell just the latch I was up for $89 for a whole replacement housing,
I rang the gopro support line on their website, they were excellent over the phone and have been excellent with email.
Even with me admitting user error they are sending me a new latch in the mail.
Well done gopro and I cannot recommend their camera and service highly enough excellent
Cheers matt

That's what we like to see. This is what makes the top businesses outshine the competition, looking after their customers.

I did notice the amount of force it takes to close the rear hatch, so I have been closing the hatch by hand first evenly and holding and then latching it.

how do I feel about that latch? Not what I would call a great design, I would like to have the old latch over the new one any day, just not what I would call foolproof.

good to see gopro handling the situation really good for you, makes me feel a lot more secure!
