Every town in the South West has 1 in the closet.... Fact or fiction?- depends on weather you've sighted 1 or not
I always knew the local one as the Nannup Tiger

I believe a tracker named Kevin Cameron wrote a book about such things, including possibilities of there being thylacenes (spelling?) in the south west some years ago. I'm pretty sure that was based around the Nannup/Bridgetown area.

I know I have seen something that was way too big for a fox while out pinging rabbits out the back of Bridgetown some 20 years ago. It is also reported that the guys who used to drive the trucks delivering The West have sighted big cats in the same area years before what I saw.

And Dowelly choose a new song.

Phil

About 20 yrs ago my old neighbour claimed a big angry cat jumped on his bonnet in the early hours of the morning and didnt want to leave It was all over the papers and the talk of the town for a while.
Of course, these were the days when mobile phones didnt have cameras (if you even had a mobile) and cameras werent something you had sitting around.
Tried to google some info but no luck, but I'm sure the Donny/Bridge Mail would have a record, if anyones interested

Brad told Jen he wouldn't be back until Dowelly and himself had found the cat...She lived a lonely life.

thylacenes used to be all over the southwest, and like the cougar have now mastered the art of "invisibleness"

Some Thylacine and Tas devil fossil remains have been found in South west caves. They are quite old though.

Any animal that had escaped would have to be have released around 1990's now. To manage just two to breed is pretty low.

i remain skeptical, a 100 dollar kodac easyshare camera can take better photo's/footage then whats been provided plus if there were so many people or even just one dedicated person trapping/hunting them since 2001 then they would have bagged at least one by now
