Barra on Bream/Whiting poppers
Hey guys, just thought I would share some experience I have found lately.
I decided to toss some small 50mm poppers at tarpon tailing on the back side of Lake Awoonga - I found that barra sizing 70cm are hanging in only 1ft of water and they take these poppers with some serious aggression I spent a few hours last night shaking with excitement, in the pitch black when you hear a barra crack your lure on light gear it's like nothing else...give it a go guys - Gillies 5 pack is a sure cheap way to go about it...

Geez are you upgrading the hooks as I thought the only good thing about those packs was the profile they obviously ripped off . I didn't think they were too good when I tried them (the action as well as the hooks). Cheers Pat.

Ha ha sounds like fun!
My gillies poppers hooks fell apart, the bodies split and water got inside and te balls rusted badly. Got stiffies and a few other cheapies which do the job pretty well - however nowhere near barra which sucks from that report!!! |

Of course... I failed to mention the trebs.... Switch those out as they are
Bronze. As far as barra go on light gear it's a guess game hahahah. Gullies pack is what you make It, same as anything.
