my new rig for lures (pics)

my first post and a novice when it comes to catching bream and flatty on lures, have always bait fished for them until my mate got me interested.
so in need of a new rig I went shopping to my local tackle shop which I have been for a number of years. I walked in there wanting to spend around $200 for the rod and about $100 for the reel.
anyway I got a good pay that week and ended up getting these.

diawa ags battler - The Beowolf 2-4kg

diawa emeraldas - mx 2508pe

power pro - 3lb

sunline - 4lb -8lb flouro leader

any tips would be appreciated

hey bud, yeah I just bought the wolf aswell but matched it up with a 2000

ignis type r with 4lb line system orange frog braid.

unsure wether to use a 4, 6, or 8lb leader myself

I spose depending on the surrounds ( snaggy rocky areas ect )

also type / weight of lure will also determine leader aswell I spose.

but cant go to heavy on the leader aswell as some bream are spooky.

dirty silty water might use 6-8lb but in the clearer water use 3-5lb.

I'm currently in love with Unitika aorika Pe

I used fins for a long time, f&$@ knows why

They're expensive, yes, but.............they're worth it.

There's been plenty written on the subject though. Grab a beer and get your scroll on

That's a good first set up and will cover all bases. As you get into it more your tastes will refine and you will work out what you like and don't like. Power pro will do the job just fine. Try the 4lb if you lose a few go up to the 8lb. If you are fishing in area with regular by catch like flatties jewies etc go the 8. No need to spend a fortune first up and you won't know what better rods reels lines are like unless you use the others as well which is what most of us have done in the past. More about the lure and how you work it which will effec your results.
