Hi....
newbie questions again.
Can I fit a 2500 spool into a C3000 reel? (to reduce capacity)
Also...can a RCS Eva knob fit on TP C3000?

Thks

FYI, the Shimano Sustain FGspool also fit, but you would need the Sustain drag knob

==

Also, the new Shimano Stradic FK spool would fit as well.

Needs more thought, it will with slight modification.

What slight modification needs to be done? When I put the RCS knob on, it doesn't go all the way down to the arm like the original does. There is about a 3mm gap.

You either need to machine the handle so the knob can go further down or machine the inside of the knob. Either modification will make that part only fit that reel from then on.

Either way, I wouldn't call the RCS knob compatible with the TP C3000.

All RCS product is originally designed for Daiwa,so you will need to shave a handle knob shaft to make it fully fit

That's what I said above. But it's not just a matter getting out the Dremel and grinding things. You have to 'machine' the shaft precisely. It has to be perfectly round and perfectly centred for the bearing to fit properly. While doing that, you would then need to take off a precise amount that would match the shaft length and diameter of a Daiwa.
How can this be done. Any ideas?

You basically talked yourself the answers through your question 😂

Ive done about a dozen or more handles npw to fit SLP / RCS knobs wothout any issues.

Latest was my 300e.

I'm asking how do you do it with all the guidelines that I said above that need to be followed to do the job properly 'without any issues' Not just showing a useless picture.

The useless picture is a "how its done & looks". Theres no way im going to sit for hours and take pics and sit and do a full write up on how i did it for no appreciation, those days are long gone on BM. Clearly see that.

Not after a full write up, just want to know what tools or machine are used to do the job properly. Now as you have said you use a Dremel I don't really want to know anything else.

You got me thinking now..
should be able to centre the handle shaft on a faceplate on the lathe and turn it down. Would be somewhat cleaner than attacking it with a grinder
Maybe something for a rainy day when I have run out of SWMBO projects, has anyone got an old handle lying around?

cheers
Steve
