No point getting banned over a pretty argument Cod botherer and the "designed for bream" term they made them 66mm so 1cm shorter bream will usually go for smaller offerings and I think they sorta hang a little deeper in the water when paused or something so the bream can slurp them in a little easier. So I spose those are the slight modifications, wheather these the buoyancy was actually done on purpose or that's just how the lures turned out and it's marketing only Hurricane will know, But I think the switch 66 look pretty alright.
Have not used any bents but im sure I will one day and each have their place and even though they're copies I don't think OSP sales would be affected that much there will always be a strong market for high end gear in Australia.

This is not an attack at hurricane just an observation that i think everyone is entitled to hear. Also why do they sink? was this a stuff up in manufacturing or was it on purpose? It is advertised as a surface lure so why would it sink? And the one my mate was using rolled alot more instead of skipping like the osp. These were the two main difference i noticed. As i said not an attack so i don't see why my comment could be deleted as fish tec and hurricane are BOTH site sponsors.
Sinking mmmmmm NO WAY

Maybe watch this again 100% Fresh Water

They are slow float back to surface

Yes they where 100% Designed to be like that purposely

Now no need to get nasty

Its a friendly debate

Everyone I have used and tested other than the prototypes all float 100% same as Video. We played with numerous weights in the Prototypes.
Some of those sank. But the approved for Production model Defiantly does not Sink.

Im happy to help out 100% to make you happy

I don't know Nordy nor do I have anything to do with Hurricane lures....or have I ever cast one for that matter....but, he did say earlier that angler skill is what catches the fish, not the individual lure. If bream simply ate the best lure more than inferior ones then the we would have a very boring sport. Angler skill plays a huge part in tournament results and success even socially. I know of plenty of anglers who could out fish me casting a $2 kmart special regardless of what I was casting and I have been bream fishing with lures for 10 years! funnily enough, these are the guys that are consistently at the top of the tree with tourney results.

Regardless of who copies who, I believe brands like Hurricane and Austackle have a right to sell their products and I am also sure they have taken original designs and tweaked them to make them their own....much like everything in life. who made the first flat screen tv? who knows, but every brand now sells one and im sure some are inferior and cheaper than the original...does that mean they don't deserve a go in the market place....no. give the bloke a break.

For the record, I will continue to cast high end lures, no matter the cost.
+1
Well said.
I wanna see "dabreama" and nordy square off in east gippsland.
I'll set up a betting market lol.

I love the OSP bent minnow. By far the best action but miss a few fish on them.

# of us were kayak fishing the other day. 2 of us were throwing the OSP and the 3 was throwing the hurricane. The hurricane didnt score a fish but both of us using the OSP lures caught around 8 fish each.

I might have to give the assist hooks a go i think.

Really

Was No 3 Angler as Adapt as No 1 & 2 I wonder

Those Bream Must be super super smart to tell the difference

So 2 anglers caught 16 Bream and no 3 Angler Caught None

Something sounds a miss with that

Maybe it was No 3 angler ???

Did No 1 & 2 Try the SWITCH 66

mmmmm

So the SWITCH 66 cant catch Bream They just wont eat it

Seriously

Assist Hooks mmmmm

I would say not needed

If you look at Video of how the SWITCH 66 sits in the water on the Pause

Its tail is down under the water Check It Out Bit like a SAMMY 65

Its weighted purposely like this.

Mr Breambo is more inclined to have a crack

So whether you need assist hooks mmmm very debatable

But the option is there I suppose

Id be interested in feedback if tried

I wasn't going to say anything .... But ....

There are so many variables when it comes analyzing the 3 brands in mention ... Were 2 of the 3 better anglers ? Was it their lure choice ? Or was it that 2 of the 3 just found actively feeding fish ?

Anyone who says that one spends too much time under the water , and that's a bad thing ! Do you watch the OSP guys work theirs .... Some keep it sub-surface for an entire retrieve.

For me personally it's OSP ... Say what ever you want , I would have little doubt that there would be a lot of difference in the actions of the 3 ...

I'm not going to pick apart what I believe is a dead topic . Done to death !

I'm going to Nelson in a few weeks . I'll buy one of each of the opposing brands and I'll have a red hot crack and fish all 3 over the weekend ....

And pete considering your house nearly backs onto Gippsland Lakes I'd have expected you to do well at the GF
