I need some good blades please?

Hi guys,

I want to stock up on some good quality blades.

question I have is - what is bang for buck?
Or is it best to go something that is tried and tested like ecogear.

Give the strike pro cyber vibes a go, they have some good colours and come standard with decoys.

I've had good success on:

Berkley bigeye blades
TT Switchblades
Strike Pro Cybervibe
Ebay blades

The fleabay blades work out at $3 a pop (evercatch is the seller). They catch fish as well as the others but the paint chips quicker.

The berkleys are also sold as Johnson thinfishers in the US for as low as 3USD but I haven't found anywhere yet that does reasonable shipping to Aus to make buying O/S viable.

I've fished zx and VX blades. I can't say in my experience that I noticed a difference between them and the cheaper blades. I think blades are possibly the one lure where there is less of a difference between economy and premium.

I've pretty much fished only blades for the last 8 weeks or so and all of them have produced at one time or another. I tend to throw the ebay ones when I'm learning the bottom structure one snag at a time. For areas I know well I'll go with one of my "good" blades

The ZX35 is still probably the best blade on the market IMO. VX40 works really well down here to.

Thanks guys. Gonna get some of the ones mention above.

Chief, the zx35s have always interested me, so keen to get a few of them. Have you got a stand out colour? I was considering going a black and something else? Cheers mate

Black is good and 415 is another favourite.

Chuck some gold sunset colour ones in, I've had some great arvo sessions on windy flats with the sun still high using bright gold/red patterns.

ZX's kill it mate, the flatties also absolutely love them and the stingers are so sticky. Excellent choice.
