The wrong way to cook up a batch of snapper leads

For all you safety conscious people out there - do not follow my lead.

You need proper gloves - proper face mask and eye wear.

But if you want to see how a maverick approaches the situation - here it is.

Then you're going to need to check your BBQ only to find out all the jets have rusted over and its not working.

So then you are left with a problem of how to heat up the lead - I know - I'll just light a fire with wet scraps of wood from around the house.

The fire is so pissy that you can barely get some coals together to put the sauce pan on - after about an hour you eventually get the lead melted - but it spills over when you left it unattended for 10 mins.

now you have to switch on and get pouring.

Once poured give the lead a minute to set - then whack the mold with the multigrips and it pops open

dunk em in cold water.

You can touch them after 30 seconds and twist off the excess lead. Make sure you dry it with paper towel before it gets put back into the pot though.

Then if your molds are as old and crap as mine and you use 2 bricks as a vice - you're going to need to clean them up with scissors and drill out the hole.

But if you are going to have a crack - you need to read all the relevant safety advice for dealing with lead.

Here's a link - But I would suggest further research aswell
