xi5

Anyone know if you can get the 80lb xi5 with 48 inch shaft in Aus?

Anyone got one that's been a nightmare or a blessing?

Cheers

The shortest they do is a 54" i believe Simonosy.

Trevor @ Bendigo Marine has some xi5's in stock i believe.

Thanks,
Paul

i recently changed to a 54" 12v I know its not what you are enquiring about but to say the least I WILL NEVER USE A KOTA AGAIN the thing is amasing anchor lock 1.5 meters from a bridge in a strong tide the thing dosnt move the heading lock is great as well but had to get a software update for the southern hemishpere as it turned 180 deg because of that but the best bit of gear ive used

Should add - a few of the guys fishing the Vic Bream Classics are already running them and are VERY impressed with them.

Good battery usage, quiet and fast and an amazing anchor lock without getting blown off the spot, then having to rabbit back up and spooking fish.

My xi5 is doing the same with the heading lock and also the jog feature is opposite too, left=right forward=backward etc. did you do the software upgrade yourself or take it into your local store?

Cheers,
Jake

Ps

Mine has been brilliant, I have the 80lb. Only thing is the release mechanism doesn't feel as good as the Kota but the shaft locking mechanism is a lot better. The spotlock is incredible and remote is a lot more responsive and also a better physical size.

pinpoint is easy to put in after the fact that's what I had to do as there where no motorguides avaiable with the pinpoint already installed took about 15- 20 mins beware you will most probably have the get the firmware upgrade to fix the northern Southern Hemisphere heading lock issue but that's no biggie good luck
