4.1 poly with MK

this mite sound like a silly question but

i'm only about 5.9 and 95kg and a few of my mates are the same size, and i'm looking a getting a 4.1 polycraft boat and i was wondering if the Minn Kota RT/55 would be able to handle this boat without to much troulble

Thanks

Mark

Should be fine mate. I've got one on the 4.75 Hornet and it handles it pretty well.

I'd personaly be reluctant to go bigger than a 55lb on a 4.1 poly.
The 55 will be more than adequate, and if you go any bigger you step up to 24v systems. Which means all the extra weight and lost space of an extra battery.

DaveW has an RT55/AP on his 4.1 Poly and I've never heard him complain about it (until it broke recently...).

The RT55AP works fine on my Poly - and I discovered it was a power issue, not a motor one, which I've now rectified..........

The new battery makes a massive difference, went with a 100AH AGM one from Bias and it's $hit hot
