Here is the rotor nut from a Stella FI. See the difference? The rotor nut has been designed to accomodate a ball bearing.

That looks like a rubber shield to me. Not a bearing.

Not the shield in the tweezers... 😒

The bearing in the rotor nut with the shaft showing. You can see the sintered bronze inner lubrication sleeve against the shaft.

I bought a mint condition, old certate, the other day, just to see what you blokes were spunking over

I can not tell you how relieved I was to have all my tight arse tendancies vindicated.

It was like a wave of relief washing over me as I ran it through its paces - all those doubts about my tackle choices ebbed away.

I've got a tendency for keeping it real. And I run a stable of reels that reflect that.

So here's what a certate does that a stadic or freams wont.

Nothing...............seriously - I'm starting to question whether stradics and freams are too high end for the fish I chase

I remember a shimano sponsored angler telling me that the only reason a stella cost what it does is because snobs like owning a product they hope others cant afford

He could have had a whole kit of stellas - but the other reels in their range were better suited to the fish he chased

I Have no problem selling you the reel - but I should warn you. Once it has been breathed on by a 67th generation "Dragon Assassin" - its purchase price does not reflect its worth

I should warn you that if you're calling my bluff - its going to cost you the same price as a brand new stradic

Ooh nice reel! But I don't need one ...yes a bluff
Still can't work out how you happily use a freams or stradic if you own that!!!

Right now its sitting on a shelf gathering dust - I just wanted to see what the fuss was about

Fishing reels are just tools of the trade - if a job comes up where I need a smaller reel - I'll dust it off and give it a run
