Daiwa Theory

Hi all,

I know the Daiwa Theory reels have just been released in Japan, but i wanted to know if anyone had bought one or used one. I'm looking at either this or the Luvias to pair with my new Skyroad 8-16lb.

I've tried my 2506 emeraldas (206g) on the rod and it just balances but the reel could be touch heavier so i'm looking at the 3012H Theory which weighs 220g.

Theory - http://www.daiwa.com/jp/fishing/item...ory/index.html
Luvias - http://www.daiwa.com/jp/fishing/item...ias/index.html

Any feedback or reviews?

This is what i read also but it seems like Japanese tackle stores are selling both the Theory and the Freams so i'm not sure.

Ended up getting a Daiwa X-Fire 2510R-PE from Plat.

Fewer less bearings than the Luvias but Plat has them at 40% off so i thought it would be a good deal. Plus the weight of the reel will balance with my rod better.

Also got some Daiwa Saltiga Sensor #1 PE

Replaced it - i'm not a fan of those larger T-knobs.

I'll need to respool it as well as it's a bit under. I'll add more backing and remove one of the shims. It's not noticeable from that pic but there's a slight line lay taper to the bottom.
