Been using these for years (Sveta uses them all the time) and believe the quality has dropped off in recent times. Tried changing the trailers over to atomic trick bitz with hooks in a larger size for the flatties and odd Jew that munch on them also. This has had some moderate success but still loose the odd hook. A great copy and a little cheaper is the proficient range available at MO which to this point have been working well.A Different Day (3) (Medium).jpg

I tie my own with 50lb braid and Daiichi 2172 hooks, size 8 or 6. haven't had one fail yet and only replace them when the braid gets pretty scuffed up.
I use old spinnerbait tails for the dangly bits, but rubber bands will do the job.

Bugger, never thought of rubber bands, will try this when the need arises. Thanks Green Hornet.

If you do decide to tie your own - You can buy replacement rubber skirts for spinner baits pretty cheap online
