bent minnows osp vs others?
Hi, i'm keen to hear from those that have used a few different brands of bents, how do brands like hurricane and austackle and any others compare to the xxy osp's?
I know most other brands are smaller but do they have the same action and boyancy? cheers |

nothing compares to the osp. i've used all 3 and the osp is by far the best. i found the austackle one to be a little more successful than the hurricane one too.

I've got an osp 76 black backed and silver sided and never even had a follow,i've got no idea how to fish the stupid thing actually and am willing to accept any tips.I thought it looked like a small garfish and would get smashed

I've seen other copies being used and to tell the truth they do not stand up to an OSP bent. The hang time of a copy that I have seen used just hangs for to long under the water and spends way to much time under. It's a personal thing but I think the hang time under water is just to long for a surface lure. The OSP bent has slayed many 40+cm blue lipped beasts for me...The results speak for themselves!! Nereus, the best retrieve I have found is to give them a very slow twitch getting it walking across the surface, let it go under, then wait for it to rise back to the surface, then give it another twitch. I repeat this retrieve until it gets belted. On most occasions, it doesn't take long

The pot is well and truely stirred
I brought an osp bent minnow the other week and have only caught 2 or 3 bream on it from the flats, they would rather eat bongo's or ghost walkers.

they slowly sink which i find a little stupid being a surface lure and just don't catch as many fish.
