Shoreluck SLL-78ULS solid tip, I have one and it's a fantastic plastics rod will also throw small hb's well.

Throws unweighted z-mans a fair distance.
Need to use around structure so 7'6 is a bit long. 7" would probably be the best all rounder.

The new Overdrive is a perfect blank for structure/docks. It's very crisp, not too long and has a nice light tip.

Flats rods and structure rods are literally the most opposite types of bream rods one could imagine. Like I told you a day ago, look at the daiwa gen black rods and don't spend $400+ on a rod when you have no idea what you are even doing. It's a waste of money and a waste of a rod.

One thing to keep in mind is a rod that is good for around structure is still fine to use on flats but a genuine flats rod isn't so good around structure.

Yea I know but right now I only have one set up which I use for hards so need a combo for all types of plastic fishing. I think I will just get a rod around the 7" mark so it can do both to a degree.

Why do you need one really expensive combo that is a compromise when you could have a specialist setup for each and still pay less?

You will find most rods able to throw light weight plastics will be way under gunned in and around structure.

I also have the shoreluck mentioned above in the 6'8" version and there is no way it would muscle out a good fish in structure.

Around 6'6" is a good length for flicking around structure and a shorter butt section as you often flick the lure, as opposed to a flats rod it's a pull and push motion between the butt and reel.
To long a butt gets in the way around tight casts.

I haven't heard a bad word about the hyuga's. Just wish I heard more about them. Very well priced rods. I'm keen on one or two

Who owns/has fiddled around with the 2015 Destroyer Hedgehog F4ST-69RSDTI? I've heard some conflicting opinions on the previous model. Can't exactly find a whole lot of anecdotal information on the newer model though.

Bumping an old thread, but where do you guys get your megabass reels serviced? I've found a Lin 258 for a pretty good price, and seems like an awesome reel. Only thing stopping me from pulling the trigger is the availability of parts and service, compared to Daiwa. Is there anywhere in Aus or JP that services Megabass spin reels for a good price? Thanks, Tim

They are just remodelled Daiwa reels with mostly cosmetic differences to there Daiwa base models so should be fine for internal parts availability just spool handle etc if damaged will be hard to find locally.

The Lin 258 has much in common with Morethan,so there is no problem to service,RCS spools are also compatible.
