Daiwa presso or lox yoshi

Righto. Need a new trout rod. These are my two finalists in regards to what I like and can afford
Daiwa presso 2-6lb 6"0 2 piece
Lox yoshi 1-3kg 6"6
Will be for hB lures up to 5 grams and very light plastics in trout streams
Give me some pros and cons and would love to hear from members who actually own one of them
Cheers guys

I have that exact lox and love it. It has a very versatile tip meaning its great for hardbodies and plastics. However never used the other so can't comment.

Love my lox, can't fault it. It's the last remaining bream rod I have. And it's like that for a reason.

My only concern with the lox rods is the tip breaking off.saw quite a few returned at my local tackle shop a while back.

Can't fault the lox yoshi perfect for throwing light cranks and placcys. Never had a problem with a broken tip.

Cheers

I have a Lox 7" model , never had any problems with the Tip, have caught plenty of flatties up to 60cm ,and bream to 35cm with it , would be a great trout rod , I have a stradic ci4+ 1000 and 6lb SAS braid on it.
I have been out to Oberon Dam with it on the Yak and have yet to catch a Trout with it but have full confidence it will handle them with ease.

I checked out the pressos in the shops in Japan. IMO too soft. Maybe good for fishing 1lb line for 6" trout.

This was only a problem with the older models (cork insert into reel seat). the newer model (with the wood insert) doesn't have this problem.

They are a great HB rod.

I've never used the presso, but do have a Gen Black. I much prefer to Lox for hards, I use the Gen Black for plastics.

Which model did you check out mate?
They are soft and noodle like for a reason and the biggest trout in my local would be 1.5kg. The jap model I like is .5-6lb.

TBH I just giggled at something so flimsy. I guess is was the light one.

Kind of fascinating though, just not my thing.

Check out some of the japanese trout fishing on YouTube then you will see flimsy. I subscribe to motoyama 1003. But also check out street hunters. Ultra light rods pushed to their limits
So no presso owners out there guys?
