3.6mtr bluefin

Hey guys recently bought a 2004 bluefin with a 25hp 2stroke yammy, the transom has been reinforced to cope with the heavier motor. Anyway the issue I'm having is it porpoises really badly over about 35km/hr, it's fine on flat water but any chop and it just get worse with more speed. I'm new to boating and just wondered where I should I start to try and sort it out. Could it be as simple as weight distribution as I'm around 110kgs and most of my passengers are 30-50kgs lighter than me

Boats a very simple set up, two seats one 25l fuel tank down the back, anchor and chain upfront, maybe 10-15kgs of fishing gear, Generally only fish two up and no ice or esky or bait tanks etc

Any help appreciated

Cheer John

Try dropping the pin height on the motor 1 or 2 holes. Just keep playing around with it till it gets to what your happy with. If you can you could try put the tank up the front. This might help.

I had the same problem with a 375 explorer. was told to lift the motor an inch or two as it was too low in the water. put a wooden block on before you put the motor on to lift it out of the water . Regards Howard.

Sounds like you need more weight up front.
