Greg, did you have a look under the motor cover, is it all 98?? 2,800 sound ok maybe you should offer him 2300 to see what he says. Make sure you check the paper work out and check that the boat is legit.
good Luck drew

btw, start the motor and listen for any strange noises.
l sold a similar boat last year for 1500 with a cheap finder, but it only had a 5 horse. Drew

We paid $2300 for our Savage Snipe with a 15hp Evinrude on it.
I think the price is a little steep at $2800, as I am sure you will want to modify it and that all costs money. We have upgraded the motor to 30hp and done lots of other mods to it since we bought it. Cheers Mim

looks good mim, i take it that it used to have a middle seat??
i just found this in the trading post: ALUMINIUM BOAT, ON trailer, 12ft, all safety gear supplied, 15hp Evinrude, needs work, $1000 could be the start of something good |

The boat still has the middle seat which is sitting in the lean-to behind the shed. The model we have came with a removable middle seat, so if we ever want to take the wells out we can just put the seat back in.
Could be. Sounds good. When you go to have a look at it: 1. Make sure the motor starts 2. Make sure there are no cracks or leaks (you can do this by filling up the hull with water then checking to see if any water seeps through under the hull) 3. Make sure the trailer is licensed (If it isn't it will cost around $300 to do so) 4. Make sure the boat is registered (although this is not a major issue as it doesn't cost much to register it) and 5. Have fun with it Cheers Mim

Nath,
it is only $30 to register the trailer, but if it is not licensed, then you have to pay a fee to get it checked for road worthiness, thats where the $$$ come in. I am assuming it would be the same over in Vic.
