With the change from a "Monkey" - you could still pick up a "coupla" 2kg blocks of pillies - even at Sydney prices

Nah ive read about those snip jobs. I dont dig the side effects. Google gold standard vasectomy and youll appreciate the difference. Ill pass on the wax on wax off approach too thanks yd.

Very interested in how u go, Nags loves his, and i was very dissapointed in mine. mine would not cut limp braid without adding considerable shear force with fingers.

I'll post how the go once I've got them. They'll be used for cutting PE0.6 and 0.8 braid.

Scissors arrived yesterday. They are quite a bit bigger than the ones they are replacing, but I'll get used to that. Used them to cut limp braid and they did a great job as long as the braid was being cut at around the middle of the blade. No fraying on PE0.6 unless I cut towards the tip of the blade. They feel well made and seem pretty sturdy. They definitely cut much better than my old ones (although they are a few years old now)

SURPRISE PERFORMER
got hold of these bad boys this week and although not designed for cutting thin braided lines, I gave them a run anyway, just for sh!ts and giggles Easily cut through unitika aorika, 10lb castaway and even the really thin thread I use on small trout flies. The cutters are the recessed sections on either side Mind blown, but definitely overkill for bream fishing.

Just an update -
Dont buy the berkley nail clippers if you want to cut slack braid. They will cut braid but you have to yank on the braid way too hard to get it to cut Luckily I bought them to cut my nails and they do that fine |

They’re good to go
The big ones have a lock/unlock mechanism which is pretty handy
