Are you an Amazon or Ebay fan

I havent used Amazon for about 10 years but I checked it the other day.

I'm beginning to think I've been missing out - heres an "exceler off" between the 2

SCrew you Amazon - the add clearly states they send to Australia - then when you go to purchase you get this message.

I've just remembered why I stopped using Amazon

You can blame the Australian government for that. Amazon stopped shipping here because the government wants them to collect 10% GST on purchases and Amazon basically said no to them and instead just won’t ship to Australia. As have several of my other favourite stores.

I used to buy loads from Amazon Japan. Great prices and quick delivery. Unfortunately they won't ship to Oz now. Collecting the 10% would be pretty easy to do. Amazon just want us to use the over priced and less stocked Amazon Australia.

but according to this Lady they also take a percentage of the cost price of the item you bought which, in this case, looked like another 20%, on top of postage - plus a $1 resending fee

I've never used Shipto though I believe they are charging GST as well.
I blame Ebay for this mess, they folded knowing most people would use Paypal so its another ten percent they can charge fees on.
I've also been hit though Global Delivery Network who simply sent my package though Aust Post.
