simple question
why do i never see people using these SWTSB BOW watersnakes. i honestly cannot say that i have seen one boat ever that has this type of watersnake, i have only ever seen the SWDR BOW watersnakes. does anyone know why people dont use them. i actually think the mount and the shaft look better and stronger. does anybody share the same thoughts?

I've seen something similar or the same on one of the boats in Perth, but I can't think which one at the moment. It was very easy to use. Just pull on the chord and up she comes!

Hi Paul, I think one that actually picture is supposed to be the wired foot control with the wire edited out (not sure why). But having said that it won;t be too long before you see a wireless foot pedal. I have a 80lb sample arriving soon.
The TSB type mount is far a stronger, better mounting system than the SWDR it also has a 10th of the moving parts. Not only that when its in locked postion there is no way of it deploying itself at 20-30 knots not even at 40 knots plus hiting heavy chop. If you ask me the SWDR design is an old design that won't go away! If everyone used the TSB mount 50% of the issues would go away and that goes for any brand. Bu hey thats my two bobs worth The white motor shown above is whats currently fitted to my boat SWTSB 24V 80lb, very impressed. Last edited by madaff; 19-01-2009 at 10:52 PM. |
