Central QLD Saratoga help
Hi All,
During this year my Brother and i are planning a trip chasing sooty grunter, toga and Barra. We will be starting inland from Mackay working our way back to Townsville where my brother lives. Can anyone who has gone a similar trip give any advice? From footwear, lures, backpack anything i have not thought about. I will be buying a new combo for the trip, it will have to be a 2 piece to fit on to the plane and with a budget of around $600. Most of the trip will be land based. walking the banks. I would love to hear anyone's input. |

Hi mate here's some tips
1. First aid kit 2 water 3 full body sun protection ! 4 don't overkill the gear ... Most situations bass gear is ample 5 don't go and get a blingy combo .. Out here you screw it pretty easily and buy more lures Don't take anything at all that's not waterproof Enjoy Will |

sunnies
make sure you have some light brown tinted sunnies for those conditions so you can see the toga, hopefully dont get any rain as will be hard to get if you do!

Thanks. I will try to plan around the rain..... Can only hope for the best. Last few trips to Townsville have resulted in rain.
