Feel free to ask any questions, post reviews or chat anything Megabass. Pic are encouraged!

I'm currently running:

Phase 2 Lycaon F0 - 6'8''

Racing Condition F3 - 5'11''
Shoreluck UL F0 - 7'4''

Also Have a Phase 3 Lycaon F1 - 6'4'' on it's way! Running a couple of 256 Caiyens to. Feel free to ask any questions about these rods and reels and I'll do my best to answer them. I'm sure if I can't there will be plenty that will!

how do you rate the shoreluck 7'4"? I have seen mixed information about their tapers (medium and fast) Id be guessing they would be more a medium, but care to shed any light? Was looking at getting one but I hate slow rods or medium rods

About time!!

I'm only new to the Megabass clan but I am slowly adding more to the collection

Currently have a:

Deep Throat F0 - 6'8''
Lycaon SDti - 6'4"

And another Lycaon on the way

Have been good lately and not bought any more rods as the Axis 7 rods are gonna be sick!!

Can't wait to see what others have

What do you rate the reels Chief, are they worth the coin or would you be better off buying ana Exist or Stella ?

I rate them pretty highly. Depends on what you are after. Very similar to the old Exist. Pretty much the same or slightly better and can be found for a similar price. So they are worth it in that respect. Probably go the Stella if you need a reel for some bigger stuff, not just Breaming. If you wanna spend a bit more you could get a new Exist from Japan.

Pretty much the ultimate flats rod for light fluorocarbon IMO. I'd say medium taper, not slow action though. It has a ultra light tip but has some balls down around the middle of the blank and lower. More than I thought it would.

Not quite answering your question re the 7'4" but I've been using a 6'4" Shoreluck for a couple of months now and have been really pleasantly surprised by this rod. Firstly, because the reel mount is so low this rod fishes much longer (if that makes sense). So much so that, although I originally got it as a yak rod it's currently my weapon of choice for the flats. Some might scoff at that but matched to a 1000 Stella it's an awesome and easy combination. Certainly not slow in the upper section but, as Chief said, loads up solidly in the lower section when required. I have only fished HBs with this and it handles anything from MXs up to the bigger shallow minnows to 7g no worries - which makes it really versatile. (I would say that cranks tend to overload the action a bit though). So far it has landed many fish in shallow water up to solid 38s with no trouble at all. Outstanding for such a light tip rod - also it handles far more high sticking than a rod this light in the tip should - (thanks to testing it out with plenty of unwanted piscatorial interest from my staffy girls).
Sadly for my wife, family and bank manager I am now a MB convert and have a couple more on the way - Cheers P.

Yeh mate - just managed to sneak in with the Mobileshaft, so that's on the way.
Had already sat up one night last week with the IPad and a half decent bottle...dangerous stuff! Woke up next day to find I had placed an order for a Deep Throat. Ha ha...if I told the missus I'd ordered a Deep Throat I'd probably get a slappin for doing late night porn
