The FD series is uber smooth.. I played with my friends 4000 fd and its noticably smoother than any other reel I have played with (including previous stellas)

I recently bought a steez 2500 myself.. i chose this over the exist as for some reason (maybe it was just a lemon that the store had in stock) the exist felt clunky.... i could feel all the gears whereas the steez was HEAPS smoother (still not as smooth as the stella fd's...).... even the certate hyper customs which use the hyper digi-gear felt smoother (which it isn't suppose to be)

I am sure theres heaps of people happy with the exists.. however just speaking from experience of when i tried one out.... it was a no brainer to go for the steez.

Most of these high end reels I dont' think you can go wrong.. it almost comes down to merely which design u like more

I've got a 1000FD - FD stands for F**king Delightful IMO otherwise it's just the model (as oppose to FA or FB)

Can't compare them to an exist as I havent ever used one, but they feel solid, smoothe and just amazing. I want more!!!!

G'day DC

Been using the new 1000fd for 2 months now. Absolutly sensational. Best thing I have found compared to the older Stella's is the smoother and much louder drag. Great for when a fish is "peelin" off line .

Haha,

CRBB = Came-as-Rusted Ball Bearings
ARB = Already Rusted Bearings

But honestly, I haven't had any problems.

Most of these fancy bearings are really treated/coated bearings to reduce corrosion. Personally I would use Stainless Steel bearings, depends where it goes on the reel, shielded or open bearings.
