It's funny too ... I'd told Manno in advance I was going for a flick but given that it was low tide and cold I doubt I'd load it up .... he said to not be surprised as it has some serious mojo

Yeah ... I can count on one hand how many I've caught on the head of a worm.

Nice work dave! That SR is a proper wand! But Im still undecided whether or not he's just a top bloke, lending random fishos his gear. Or, each time he's secretly hoping that the next bloke accidentally activates the expeditor clause......?

Haha. That would be Axel's fovourite bread-bait rod. Personally I would like to use it for lure fishing, but so long as you two guys are happy...

Oh bread works Steve.

Greggos well known in his local bakers delight. He likes to pretend he's refined and only uses chuck steak now but I reckon he's still throwing at least three loaves of tip-top a week

I'm hanging out for a "French fry" lure. Bread flies do work very well, just crap to cast with spin gear.

Bubble and fly sorts the castabillty problem .... At some point I want to try bread flies on carp ... Also kind of like the idea of tenkara but I'm trying to not feed the addiction

A trimmed ecogear bream prawn does a reasonable French fry but i have to say the BP for me were the most unsuccessful lure.

Oh and yesterday was a good day ... I also managed to sneak out after the kids went to sleep and had a quick hour prospecting the pylons.

Managed to christen the new-to-me docks bream whacker .... Must be the gloomis effect

No way! I'd cry if they broke, too much mojo under the bridge so to speak with my GLXs.

Managed to get out over lunchtime today and hit the Nong around the high tide. Quite clear but I couldn't see any bream on the banks so decided to work deeper than usual and target the second transition and weedbeds with plastics.

Got quite a few inquiries and after a few missed hookups managed to finally get a positive hookup

Was a good start and then on the next cast out the plastic got smashed and line tore off the little abu reel ..... I thumbed the reel to a halt and let the rod fully load and figured I was set. Let it run again and then ..... Nothing. Reeled in and my hook had been straightened. Bloody hell. One day I'll be lucky but it does seem at the moment to pan out the fishes way when I get monstered on the bream gear ( not surprising really). Had a couple more flicks for this haha

Followed by this ... Oh dear

At that point figured enough was enough
