Smile docklands-melbourne

Anyone know how Docklands has been fishing of late?
its been almost a week of horrible weather, and its killing me...

i can assume the water quality/visibility will be poor, and lots of fresh running through, thinking of heading down tomorrow, rain/hail or sunshine

and what hard bodies have been working well of late

hope too hear some feed back soon!

or microvibes of course lol but they are probably quite deep so blades will be better, although if fishing blades take a lure retriever. and stick to the darker colored lures

Spot on ! Went down Monday, pest Salmon the only things taking vibes. The Bream are just licking the lures, thats it. No real takes. Haven't heard of Pinkies being caught there for a while now. Water clarity is 1/2 a metre. Better waiting another month or so.

This is not the attitude for any young man willing to target bream!

They do eat when its cold too.

So if you want to catch one, adapt your technique to suit.

I have seen bream high on structure in winter too, so there is no hard and fast rule as to where you'll find them.

I don't bother at docks*** for bream in the winter. Got a heap of other places to hit them up especially bluewater ones.

Could not agree more with you squidlipz. If fishing was that ezy it would be called catching. The little buggers are in a different mood every time you go for a fish. So the sooner you can learn to adapt the better.

Nick has his Brighton Bream to catch hehe.

Yeah, i dont give up on the Docks. Rain or shine, Bream no Bream. It is hard, i didn't even see one at all on Monday. You can just feel them. But when you catch them, they are not long but really really fat. I haven't learnt how to adapt to them yet.
