I've tried the Rapala, chucked them away after the first use. Maybe okay for heavy braid, but useless on light stuff.

They are different from the Snowpeak split ring pliers that Piscateur reviewed, and are excellent, my faves.

I’ve tried many scissors over the years the best ones i have come across
are the snow peak brand highly recommend them.

Yeah I hadnt heard of them before but the seem quite popular.

I found my pair of black rapalas on the side of the road close to 10 years ago now. They are still going strong even after others have come and gone from my bag so they’ll get my vote
