Current info.........

I have just done some online research and Waves are cheapest closely followed by Nitro with all the rest miles behind, even with shipping from Waves/Nitro to Victoria is included. Also the difference in prices between Minn Kota and Motorguide is huge for similar specced motors at the moment.

I just looked around for the best price(nitro marine at the time) and then went into my local Mercury dealer(Motorguide is owned by Mercury) and asked if he could match the price and he ended up beating it by $10!

I ended up doing similar. I wanted to buy locally if possible so I sent the local Mercury dealer an email asking if he could get close to the price from Waves that I would have to pay if I ordered from them, including delivery from Sydney to Victoria. He gave me a price of $2,475 with a quick release bracket which I though was fair enough, so I ordered my Xi5 80lb/60 inch today.

Bought batteries, 24 volt charger, 60amp circuit breaker, 6b&s wire etc. on eBay, so my wallet is pretty light at the moment. Looking forward to the new fishing opportunities in front of me though. I have never owned a "leccy" so I will be like a kid with a new toy :-)
