Knot from leader to clip
I just wondering what knot most people use to attach their leader to their clip?
I use a clip as I cycle through a few lures regularly in different spots. When using just one lure I use a loop knot but want to know for clips. I use 4 lb braid to 6 lb floro leader with a FG knot and it is the best knot for strength and smoothness through the guides but im just wondering what everyone is using for their clips? Hope this hasn't been covered before did a bit of a search didn't really find too much on it. |

Uni knot. Trilene if my hands are cold (easier to tie for me)

Think I'll give the fish-n-fool a go since it's pretty much an improved uni. Cheers

Guys, just regarding the Fish N Fool vs Uni Knot.
Am I just doubling up the initial loop through the eye? Or is there more to it. |

Kind of similar to the trilene which is twice through the eye and then a half blood knot. I assume the double line on the eye is what gives the improved strength over the standard uni or standard half blood knot for the fish-n-fool and the trilene, respectively |

Very quick and easy to tie but very strong. http://video.fishingclub.com/video/K...Knot-Wars-2009

Thankyou Gentleman!
P.S: How many wraps are you guys doing for say 3-8 pound flouro? I usually do less with heavier gauges. Roughly 4-5 turns with the Uni. Last edited by joelozzy; 09-09-2014 at 08:07 AM. |
