PS: F! the carpet

My casting deck is covered in blue vulcanised cork. It is soft to stand on looks good and never fouls lures, my cockpit is covered by carpet (this is the way I bought the boat) but underneath is the cork finish also. But the amount of grief the carpet brings I'm about ready to rip it out and try the full cork look.

I'm getting a custom made rod done up and this is what I am getting them to add. How many times have you heard them say, oh man I caught a big one looks that big but hey no ruler ... and photos can be misleading. I think they are going to put the decal on before the Epoxy. I think it's a requirement in the Catch & Release brag fishing

Putting talcum powder on all my hooks stops them from rusting. Just dust them all off in there casings and when you use the hook, the powder comes right off.

Fisherman 1,

Talc is good. But so is rice to keep moisture and humidity away.
I have 1000's of hooks from years ago,and still no rust

Hey Gae

If I ever come and visit, I guess I won't need to bring any rice? How about we have some "Combination Flied Lice with Shiny Crunchy Hooks"? Yumm!!!

LOL Carol,

Consider it a done deal,I just love special fried rice
Remember the front door is always open to fishing people.

Boat motor gets fitted tomorrow along with all the wiring for trailer, boat and car. About time
I'm still waiting for the seat covers, flares, battery and blue paint.
Hopefully 'Wild Cat' will be in the water within the week

Gae.
