I'm pretty much in the same boat. Will be making sure the next one has similar interests to mine. On the fishing front I'm lucky I can get a fish in at work from time to time. Have caught some of my best fish at work. It's been going on over 30 years.

Its fishing, its part of who and what I am!

Fished through the start of a moderate flood recently, i've also fished through 45knts + of wind, 40+ degree heat - the list of bad conditions is endless but I don't mind fishing in the wind as throwing crankbaits and topwaters is my "thing" - so wind won't hurt my chances one little bit!

I'm very, very lucky to have a wonderful wife who understands that I'm a fisherman and its what I do but also she enjoys fishing herself, has patience for fishing (and me at times) and we like to be around each other as much as possible - so time together on the boat/water is always good time!

I recently planned a trip up the north coast to do some prac work at SCU and my wife even pointed out that if I took the boat up with us, we could stop off on the way home at Illuka and fish the next GTS round - how awesome is that??

I love fishing, the lifestyle, the way of life - I hope to be able to do it for many many years to come!

My life literally revolves around fishing and the water:
Monday: Go for a Surf and then go for a fish afterwards (for Tailor).
Tuesday: Sailing then a fish or surf
Wednesday: Same as Monday
Thursday: Same as Tuesday
Friday: Surf and then target squid and LBG (or do homework, season depending )
Sat: Work in a tackle store all day then go for a flick for tailor
Sunday: Bream fish from 5.30am-3pm, wash boat down, head down for a tailor flick until dark.

Sounds like the life to live.
Though I am kind of glad I don't work in a tackle store. I would spend every single dollar I earned on more gear and would probably never get further ahead than the water. - Not such a bad thing I suppose.

It's bad enough I'm at the tackle store every Thursday night after work anyways.

Great to read so many people as enthusiastic about fishing as I am.

Ahhhh.... this feels like home. haha

Next time a bloke tells you he caught a Jack as long as his arm, this pic might help you believe him.

Cheers
