Camping made easier.

Theres nothing I enjoy more than heading off camping in the Boat with my wife. This takes serious planning around fine weather windows and the correct tides.Rule 1 and only rule, make sure the wife is comfortable and content.!!
We have a 4.8 Profish Trailcraft . I have built a flush, front casting/sleeping deck.A bimini canopy provides midday shade and we can also drape a mozzie net over to protect from mozzies and sandflies. If it rains we have modified a tent flysheet to drape snugly over the whole lot. We have a 120 litre under deck fuel tank which gives us a range of 240 k. Weve never done more than 160k. carry fresh water for showers, portable pottie for short two night trips, 100 litre under deck icebox last five days for keeping food fresh and beer cold.LED strip lights in white or yellow for insects.Small cooker with butane cannisters. Live off what we catch from mudcrabs , oysters , fish , squid etc.We also take our 14 year old dog , she also sleeps on the boat. i can post some pics if any one is interested. But the best thing is we have the whole place to ourselves!!!

Camping made easier

This is a shot from Walpole having prepared for an incoming storm from the SW 30 knots and 25 mm. This was nice secluded bay.

Up North now

In the Eastern gulf settled on a sandbank for the night out of the wind. Ready for an incoming tide the next morning. We ran coils and sandalwood sticks 24/7 to cope with sandflies which worked a treat.

Evening Feed and a toast for the good life!!

http://www.breammaster.com/forum/att...1&d=1381138556

With some attention to tides you can time the evening meal with a turn of the tide and be back on the boat by sunset ready for another day!!

Camping, if you have all the right gear, you launch once and then jump straight in the boat as soon as you get up, after bacon and eggs of course, fish all day and then chill out by the fire and cook a feed for dinner... thats the life, unless the weather is terrible then a cabin is ok, although its not the same without a fire...

Time4bream that's a great setup that has obviously been refined over many trips. Loving this thread over all.

I know it's an old thread but I'm just reading it now. Couldn't agree more with the above comment, what's better than a camp on the Wallagaraugh, Tamboon, Corringle, boat moored 20m away, gear set up, step in the boat and away. I'm in too much of a hurry to cook breaky so it's coffee, muesli and out before the sun's up, quick sanga for lunch and then fish till 4. Back for dinner on the fire, a beer, a wine, another wine. You can have your motels and vans, a swag under a tarp if alone or an Oztent if the family are there is just heaven for me. Up at 1.00am to get some prawns, back to sleep, up at 6.00am, repeat...
