How much Fluorocarbon Leader line do you put on at the end of the main line

yeah that's pretty much what I use for everything aside from game fishing. It's just stealthier and lasts longer.

I go 50cm - 1 meter max. Enough to cast with the knot outside the guides.

Sometimes I wind the knot through the guides. As I cast it clinks so I really don't like that. It's my knot's fault though I reckon. Another plus on straight through fluoro.

Enough so the connection from braid to leader is just forward of your spool. Thats just around 2m for a 7ft rod and would be closer to 1.5m for a 6ft rod. I know knots can be slim and what not but do the experiment of how many times the tag end off your knot picks up loops of braid on your spool when its on there... Tangles piss me off no end.

Seen bream caught with 30cm of leader and seen bream caught on flouro straight through. If they are hungry, fish will eat no matter what leader length.
