You'll have fun in that!

WRT lifting PA's.. In my car setup (Sedan with Rhino T-Bar on towball), a PA is easier to load and unload then my Ocean Kayak. 3 things make this easier (and when I say easy I mean you have to remember you want to move a very very large 40kg object onto your car roof).

1. The whole flat stern of the PA is absolute gold when it comes to loading and unloading.

2. The T-Bar is gold too.. but I have to walk up and down a standard yak whilst holding it so it doesn't slide away, a PA generally sits square against the ground due to the flat stern. People without a T-Bar often use a rack and roll or towel which can slip also.

3. The handle on the stern of the PA is brilliant. This increases your control over the yak. Consider that lifting a standard yak from the stern usually requires holding those f*cking rope handles above and then switching your hands to underneath as it comes to shoulder height you will realise its easier. You get to use two hands all the time with the PA and only really one with your average kayak.

There is a fourth reason that PA's are often easier to handle and that is that the underbody is wide and flat, unlike a standard yak which will roll to its side. Obviously doesn't happen when you have cradles fixed in place. That is why i listed only 3 points, but for me the flat underbody is gold star #4. I don't own one anymore but would have no problem in going back.
