Financial Conundrum

Long story short....

I am in a conundrum at the moment.

I have the opportunity to purchase a Morethan Branzino Surf Rod at a ridiculously low price, but even that price is just outside of my budget due to (AS USUAL) A Spontaneous purchase of more rods.

My mind has gone into over-drive on how I can make a quick buck or even borrow a quick buck.

Straight up, i'm about $200 short of the necessary funds.

The problem I have is this... the rod is only going to be available for a very short time and I'm known to be the "Desperate Times, Desperate Measures"kind of guy.

I'm at the point where I'd lend my brand new 2013 model 2004 Certate spooled with 8Lb Unitika Braid out to someone for a couple of weeks if they could lend me the money. and when I say lend I mean exactly that. I'd pay it back within 2 weeks. I'd even put a deadline date on it of the 28th June.

Through my eyes these are painfully desperate measures .

I know some people are going to just suggest that I sell some gear off, but lets be realistic about that.... I have a hard time letting things go. haha

The other option is that i've got an old pocket bike someone can have for the same price .

#FirstWorldProblems.

Oh well, thought I'd vent my frustration here anyways and hope for if nothing else that I would hear of other peoples tough time fishing decisions to send them broke last minute.

Cheers

Sean

Now how did I guess that would be the solution so many others would come up with. haha

I'll let you buy it if you let me buy it off you in 3 weeks time for the exact same price

Sounds fair to me.

Whilst on the matter... It is one of the sexiest rods I have ever seen... yes I said it. It's a sexy rod.

Give me all your gear. I'll give you a high five. You buy the rod and give it to me. Problem solved.

Simple economics

Only buy what you can afford.

Or tell the guy if you still have it in two weeks when I get the cash I'll grab it then.

Stupid Economics... is it any wonder I failed Home Economic class back in school.

At the time I could afford the other rods... didn't know the Branzino was available. Hindsight is a wonderful thought.

Now I look like that crazy guy with a fake beard in a pair of waders pretending to be a beggar outside a bank or in this case a tackle store somewhere. Haha

Enough about me.... surely I can't be the only one that has splurged too much right before a bargain deal comes up and then delves so deep that you find the lining of your pocket with no more than shrapnel of 10's n 20c pieces without that gold dollar anywhere in sight.

Whats your "Can't believe I missed it" Story?

Desperate - not stupid.

I'll dance for a dollar? .... ok maybe a little stupid. Just not stupid enough to get a heavy interest loan for fishing gear.

Sometimes you just have to watch as it passes you by.

It will definitely be one of those deals that I'll kick myself for in years to come. I can almost guarantee it.

I think you need to rethink your situation bud.
The world won't end if you don't buy that branzino.
Suck it up and only buy what you can afford it probably won't be the first or last thing you've missed out on.
Harsh but I have experience in the field of wasting money on tackle
And it can become a problem
Cheers matt

WASTING.... woah.... ok fine It is wasting I'll admit.

But it feels so good getting new gear every week. I've got the shakes from withdrawals already. Ok maybe that is just the caffeine kick coming through.

This once again reminds me.

*stands up from the undersized wooden foldup chair in the circle*

"Hi, My name is Sean I'm 28 years old and I'm a Fishaholic.

It's been 5 days since my last fish and 15 hours since I last purchased tackle. I have a problem.

It's a good thing that I am kid free for the weekend because it is my intention to spend as much of that time fishing."

*sits back down on the chair and begins rocking back n forth*

Haha Sean
