The best thing to do is to keep posting about fishing matters. Fishing reports, new fishing lures/gear and that will come up on Google and that will draw traffic and new members.
The advantage a forum has is that there can be deeper discussions that FB groups simply can't do. It's more like a FAQ on FB with simple questions. I still find that for eg. car forums or aquarium forums still have a lot of activity as deeper discussions are required. Signing up to a forum is a massive hurdle and also posting up photos is not as streamlined as FB or insta. Also, overhead costs for keeping a forum alive. |
