Quintrex 440 explorer trophy/Stacer 449 proline angler - motor selection

Hi Guys
Need some advice.
I am getting a Quintrex 440 explorer trophy or Stacer 449 proline angler (same boat). 70L under floor fuel tank and live fish tank in the front casting deck. Carry 3 people usually.
Putting either a 50hp or 60hp tiller steer 4 stroke on the back. Basically I do not want to over power the boat as it will troll too fast at idle speed. I am not interested in top speed just that it will get up on the plane with a load.
Has anyone bought one of the above boats and what motor is on it and how did it go and what would you recommend.
Considering Honda 50hp at 98kg v Mercury 60hp at 112kg.
Thanks
Adam

Extra HP won't make you go faster at idle speed. most of the modern 4 strokes will have set troll speeds from as low as about 650rpm.
Also, most motors in the 50/60hp range use the same power head, and just have more HP from the same motor. I'm pretty sure the suzuki 50/60 is the same motor as well as the honda.
I'd go for the most power as possible, as well as the lightest engine if the budget allowed it.
Don't think you can go past the Honda.
There will be times when your fully loaded and want to get somewhere quick as possible and not be bogged down wishing for en extra 10HP that you could have had. I've been in that situation before.

Ive got a 2016 mercury 60hp 4 stroke. Love it. Also on a 4.4. Plenty of power. Awesome fuel economy. Quiet bugger all vibration. I get 33 knots barely even trimmed out. Idle speed to troll is fine. Very nice motors and defiently worth considering.

Ive got a tiller steer 40hp Suzuki 4 stroke on my 4.28 Seajay. If you do a lot of trolling the built in troll mode function on the Suzis may come in handy. It allows you to speed up or slow down in 50 rpm increments. Also great on fuel as i did over 60km a couple of weeks ago and wouldnt have used more than 20 L of a 50 litre tank.
