Nice first up Barra!

Now you want to catch more don't you?

Yes the tides are a neap this weekend and they have been a bit scarce lately. But now that it is warming up again they might coming back into the harbour.

Best of luck mate, was great to catch up and have a fish, ask around at the lodge about driving up to the Finniss river salt, there is a small tidal ck crossing ( stingray head,I think ) and a few Km's of beach but you come out near the mouth of the river, just don't drive down on the soft stuff or the Nissan might be a new FAD. Or just book a guide and head wide for some reef fishing and Pelagic's - Perron Islands wide, with the biggertides should go ok. OK IBETTERGO got a plane to Europe to catch look out carp!

cheers mate - looks like most of the guides are fully booked up this week or require a min of 3 people to head out .... considering a hire boat for a look see by myself, apparently they come with a few spots preloaded into the gps .... hmmmm cant imagine they will be the good spots but ya never know.

other wise we will head over to litchfield and see if i can pick up a charter later on on the ord somewhere.

ENJOY EUROPE MATE!

You're killing me Mac daddy. Looks like fun. I think I just killed the keyboard by drooling all over it looking at that feed of muddies.
I can't help but think of Russell Coight every time I look at the title of the thread. "All aussie adventures, it's time to hit the road".

nah its bloody terrible dror, you'd hate it mate

in Kunnanurra now, a few days here and we will be heading south to Broome - sounds a bit odd to say "south" to Broome.

Nothing more to report fish wise but we did a tour on lake argyle .... god dam that is a big lake!

the stats on it a unbelieveble. the guide told us that only 1m of water from the top of the lake is enough water to supply Perth for 5 years!

and yes there a fish in it, we fed them, heaps of catfish but swimming with the were big sooties and a few small barra. and virtually nobody fishes it!

surely we need to stock this thing with a few hundred thousand barra!

Heaps of big barra in there.

The spillway is really worth a fish when the lake is overflowing into it.

It's like trying to stop a small car floating down a set of grade 4 or 5 rapids when you hook one though

Glen - glad to hear it mate, you'd hate to go all that way and have to put up with nescafe!

BTW you will get a weird text on your phone .... glen and grant are a bit too similar for me to tell apart apparently.

my mate Grant in broome too me out for a spot of jigging .... christened the new rod with this guy! more details on the blog.
