While taking a break from playing a frustrating game of cat and mouse with some very spooky longtails i decided to take some pics of a my new custom rod i had built by Alan Leahey (aka python keeper) as well as Alan's latest creation "The stealth ninja".

This is the first time I've ever had a custom rod built, but it won't be the last.
I like being able to choose the length and configuration of the grip and building the rod around the reel so it balances perfectly as well as putting my flavour on the overall look of the rod. The build quality is excellent, so good I'm going to send some of my Megabass rods to alan so he can take the guides off and rebind them and already have two more customs in the pipeline.

Both of the rods pictured are built on mhx blanks with fuji ti sic k guides and Matagi bling.

My rod. Pardon the salt spray.

Black label

I got the 641lfs black label for my birthday.
Such a sick rod, feels really really stif but i like rods like that. SO pleased but im gonna send it back because the clank was bent at the tip and was off. Feels good but just a factory mistake so i get it most likely on Wednesday.
But i recommend people to get this rod, alot of power for such a light rod and for $270 really nice.
Will post up pics if i can.
