Rules for oyster leases

Does anyone know the rules for fishing inside oyster leases? I understand you are allowed to fish in them, but you aren't allowed to tie your boat up to structures in the lease. If anyone knows the source of this rule it would be appreciated.

Oyster leases are just that, a lease. Some one pays to lease an area to run their oyster farm. All leases are private property, but most owners tolerate fisherman. But I know of a few that will chase you out of their lease and they have every right to.

If some one is working the lease I always ask permission and If I'm asked to leave, I always do so with a wave and smile.
